ABC Challenge: N is for…

Vai al post in italiano
Hi! Today is challenge day, and for the letter N I thought of Essence Nude Glam, in colour 02 Iced strawberry cream, a nice pearly pink. I have the old formula but it’s in the new collection as well. (Two coats, natural light. Click to enlarge)

I like it but it looked quite plain, and another girl had chosen the same nail polish for this letter, so I decided to give it a twist with these half pearls I bought from BornPrettyStore (here, $3.55 but only $3.21 if you put code MARYJ61 at checkout). I like them because they are tiny and elegant (and a real bargain at that price!).

What I used:

After two coats of Essence Nude Glam 02, I sponged Kiko 234 Perla Fuchsia / Lustruous Pink up to half my nail, and then sponged Ever no. 66 (no fancy name) on my tips. (Sponging is easy: just put a drop of polish on a piece of paper, dip a little sponge in it and dab on your nails. Some put polish directly on the sponge, but you waste more of it that way). Then I put a coat of Rimmel London 5 in 1 on my ring finger, and while it was still tacky I placed the half pearls with a wet cuticle stick (don’t even try placing those with tweezers). Essence studio nails better than gel nails top sealer as a top coat, which literally dries instantaneously, and ready to go!

I swatched the polishes on a wheel so you could see them better. Two coats, left to right: Essence nude glam 02 iced strawberry cream, Kiko 234 which is tiny pink microglitters in a clear base, Ever no. 66 which is tiny fuchsia flakies in a fuchsia base (don’t you love them? and this beauty is only € 2!).

Don’t forget to check what the other girls did, here below!
