Hi! For the letter W I’m showing you a Saran Wrap manicure on tones of grey and silver. Those pictures are from last Thursday as today I was out for a very important day (I’ll show you 🙂 ).
I used Catrice 620 Captain Sparrow’s Boat, a discontinued steel grey which was surprisingly sheer at the first coat for Catrice’s standards, but a second coat fixed it all:
Saran wrap manicure is easy: paint a base colour and when it’s dry, apply a contrasting nail polish and while it’s wet dab on it using some little plastic wrap balls. Yes, the plastic wrap you use for foods.
I used Kiko 304, a shimmer silver, as the contrasting colour; however it’s a bit sheer so the end result is more subtle than with other colour combinations. I also tried another way of doing this technique: on my pinkie I put the colour ON with the wrap instead of off. It didn’t really make any difference, at least with those two polishes.
